“I hope this case has taught them a lesson, so that the maintenance on the roads will be taken more seriously from now on.”

On February 7, several accidents happened in Hasselager. The cause of these accidents was a 20cm deep whole in the street of Hovvejen, which is connecting route 170 and 433. We spoke to Laura Høgh Bjørnholdt, one of the victims, and followed up on what had happened and how she is doing.

She told us that fortunately no one was injured so there was only severe material damage. Furthermore she said that she blames the Aarhus kommune as well as Arkil Asfalt, who are in charge of maintaining the roads.

Apparently the Aarhus commune had been aware of this problem before all the accidents occurred but decided not to do anything about it. This at least means for Laura that they are probably gonna cover her damage. So far we have not reached the responsible person for the maintenance but we will follow up whether the problem will be solved soon.
