Swapfiets currently has a waiting list and hopes to have enough electric bikes to rent soon

People in Denmark use to cycle a lot, because the country is flat and it is easy to ride a bike. In Aarhus is different because there are some hills that might be tricky for some people, so some of them decide to use an electric bike, buying it or renting it. But there is a electric bike shortage at the moment because of the high demand they have. Swapfiets is a company that rents electric bikes with a monthly subscription. According to Wani Ahmed, Swapfiets Store and field lead in Aarhus, “we don’t have enough mechanics to fix the bikes on time, we are also short on employees and we cannot keep up with the demand we have right now, so supply is low”. Right now they have a waiting list for e-bikes but they plan to fix more bikes so they can keep up with the demand they have and develop their supply so people can get electric bikes.
