Aarhus NYE has been nominated to Byplansprisen 2022. Byplansprisen is an annual prize given to a region or organization that ensures innovative building solutions.
NYE is a new building project in Aarhus North, ensuring innovative and susatainable building and planning. The planning and building of NYE has been going on for the last 10 years. Although many residents have already spent years here already, the area is still under construction.
NYE provides resident´s with common areas, efficient infrastructure, a local shop and a nature rich environment.
Luise Pape Rydahl, head of administration of planning and environment in Aarhus Municipality, express that the close cooperation between developer, municipality and supplyer has ensured the innovative result.
– Its been of great importance to have the same goals for the plan and to work together to achieve them.
