After the Light Rail extension to Aarhus O was cancelled, the question for future residents is how to get around the city by public transport.
Mayor Jacob Bundsgaard last week cancelled the long-planned light rail extension project due to expected traffic problems, but no real alternative public transport solution has been made public yet. When asked about this at the mayor’s office, the press officer in charge, Niels Buch Johannsen, explained that there should be another form of public transport for the residents of Aarhus O, for example buses, but that he could not comment further at the moment.
So, there seems to be no concrete proposal for the extension of public transport to Aarhus O, other than the use of buses, as of yet.
