As the start of the academic year approaches, the search for a student job is about to begin. Especially in Aarhus, the city with the largest student population in Denmark. Only Aarhus university itself has 38 thousand students. In addition, there’s a number of international students coming every year.

Denmark might be quite expensive for the internationals as the cost of living varies from 3000-5,000 DKK. Finding a job within the field of studies is an issue for anyone who doesn’t speak Danish. “I found a place in a warehouse but that’s not definitely my dream job,” says Tom who came here recently.
“Fortunately, the SU grant is very helpful. I can afford to live decently here,” he adds. The SU is a form of state support and every Danish and EU students can apply for it.
