Institut for X is a cultural district whose goal is to provide a public space for people to freely work on their creative projects.
X is in the name because mathematically, X is a variable which can symbolize anything, therefore people can do whatever they want here.
The plans call it Aarhus K, meaning creativity, culture and art. Christian Wendell, the project manager, states “they provide easy space to creative people.”
It started off as a temporary project association and ended up being much more than that. Today, there are music venues, theaters, 90 studios and workshops all open to the public. Some examples of lectures offered are cultural business development and planning.
Institut for X is a place where all are welcome to explore their creative abilities.
